HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Hey all...

First, I would love to wish you all a very Happy New Year.

During the year, I have a goal of making my own clothes. Why? Simply to see if I can do it. 

I hope to hone my skills and develop a more professional look. 

The first project on my list is a blazer made from fabric in my stash. I have had this fabric for quite some time and am not sure what it is exactly. It has the weight of a gabardine and is a really bold fuchsia that appears to be red in photos. 

I still haven't decided if I am going to line the blazer or play with the seam finishes... 

The pattern I am using is from Simplicity # S8844. It appears to be a fairly straight forward in the instructions and should sew up quickly.  

I'll add more as I go, but for now take care
